A Parliamentary inquiry into the drug 'ice' in Shepparton on Tuesday heard that addicts will "do anything" to get the drug. A Shepparton youth worker says ice addicts in the area have prostituted themselves out to pay for the drug.
Manager of Guawa Place, Herb Goonan, gave evidence before the Parliamentary inquiry into the use and supply of the drug in Shepparton on Tuesday. Mr Goonan said that there were "a number of ways" people were finding money to pay for their addiction.
Mr Goonan said a lot of addicts he dealt with through the program weren't forthcoming about their addiction. Member for Murray Valley and inquiry committee member, Tim McCurdy, said the popularity of television programs like 'Breaking Bad' encouraged people to manufacture the drug.
