My girlfriend and I knew we were in for night of sketchiness when we pulled into the Inn's lot--it clearly was a haven for truckers, hookers, druggies, and teenage hoodlums partying the night away. Our suspicions were confirmed when we attempted to enter our room hours after it was supposed to be ready only to find the previous occupant's dirty sheets and spare cot still occupying the room. Upon complaining to the desk, we received a new room that had its own "character"--beer caps beneath the beds fortunately no needles , mold and hairs in the shower, and mysterious liquids on the desk.
Needless to say, we will not be returning to the Red Roof Inn Edison. Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience at the Red Roof Inn We value our guest feedback.

My complaints are that we were checked into a room with a broken toilet and had to move to another room without ANY help from them. I shouldve asked for a discounted rate. The nighttime desk guy was arrogant.
We didnt get to eat dinner so we tried to find an open restaurant nearby but there was none at pm. Other than that it is close enough to NYC with out being too close to heavy traffic. It was roomy and priced right for our budget. They allow my 80lb dog to stay so over all it wasnt bad but I really didnt like being in the boondocks. I recommend this hotel if you are looking for a place close to NYC with out paying the high prices and traveling with family and pet but if you like access to places later in the evening.
